ToolVerse (https://www.toolversepdf.in) is designed around one principle: your documents stay yours. This policy explains what data we do and don't handle.

1. On-device processing

Merge, split, compress, convert, and OCR run entirely in your browser. The files you choose are never transmitted to our servers. There is nothing to retain because we never receive the file in the first place.

2. AI tools (AI Summary, AI Translation, ATS AI report)

When you use an AI tool, the extracted text you asked us to process is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to produce the result. The original files are not uploaded. Text is not retained by us and is used only to generate the requested output. See Anthropic's own privacy policy for how they handle API requests.

3. Accounts (optional)

If you create an account via Clerk, Clerk stores your identity data (email, name, profile image). When you save a file to your dashboard, the file is stored in your private Supabase storage bucket and its metadata (name, size, tool, date) in a database row linked to your account. You can delete any saved file from the dashboard at any time, which removes both the database record and the stored file.

4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage (page views, tool popularity). This uses cookies and collects anonymized usage data. You can block analytics cookies in your browser.

5. Advertising

We may display advertising served by Google AdSense. AdSense uses cookies to serve and measure ads. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites.

6. Cookies

We use cookies for session/authentication (via Clerk) and for analytics/ads (Google). You can control cookies through your browser settings.

7. Data retention & security

Saved files are retained until you delete them. Server-side processing (AI text) is not stored beyond the request. We follow standard security practices, including HTTPS everywhere and least-privilege access to infrastructure.
